I'm not selling anymore.

I'm not selling anymore.

Hello my loves, I'm so happy you're here.

Once upon another lifetime, you could come here to browse my Sonoran apothecary and pick up some custom clothing or commission a painting. Your support over the years has meant the world to me, genuinely. I started the online apothecary way back in 2013. It was a way to support my kiddo after I was laid off, and having a hard time finding work that paid a living wage, that also wouldn't keep me away from said kiddo. He and I loved hiking in the Sonoran Desert, and wild harvesting (conscientiously) was something we could do together. Over the years, I integrated my art into the website, too. It's been a great ride.

If you were here between June and December (2024), you might remember that I've spent that time re-structuring my life and my website. And we're nearly there! As I go through this process, I've spent more of my social media time as the consumer, rather than the creator. And, like many people, I've been increasingly irritated by the not-even-subtle creep of advertising into every piece of media. As I rebuilt my website, I began to annoy myself.

The other thing that happened during this process, was that I became financially stable, too. I'm not wealthy, but I don't need the additional income from my website. And I'd be happier if I didn't have to think about what would or wouldn't sell. Happier me makes better art.

So here's the thing. I will no longer be selling anything on this website, or via any of my social media. I'll drop some designs on Society6 (button below), because I can set it up and walk away - if you want to check it out, you will. And if not, then that's cool too. You do you, boo.

Phew! That's a relief (to me). I feel better already.

Thanks again for being here. I love you all.

Stay feral,
Katy Magee
